File Transfer Protocol and Secure File Transfer Protocol (FTP/SFTP) provide a standard way to transfer files between computers, regardless of the operating system on each computer (Windows, Macintosh, UNIX, etc.). These programs are most commonly used to transfer files from your computer to a web server. SFTP is more secure than FTP because it ensures that the entire transfer session is encrypted, meaning no passwords are sent in the clear and are therefore much less vulnerable to interception.

Yes! our sFTP Client app has full support for connecting to local networks, as this is a native packaged app and not a web-based app you can connect to any internal / external FTP / SFTP networks.

You need to enter the hostname (something like "home.example.com" or "ftp.example.net") of the server you want to transfer files from or to, and the username (something like "smith97" or "billsbakery") and password for your account on that server. If this is an account you've purchased from a Internet service provider, that provider should be able to tell you what to enter.

Simple click on the red cross on the right hand side of the tab in which you are connected, this will cease activity within that connection.

Simply click on all files / folders in which you wish to change, right click (left click if you have your mouse setup to a left hand user) over any of the selected items, from the menu that appears you will see File Permissions, click on the relevant check boxes or change the numeric value to update the File / Folder permissions.

Select the individual file / folder, right click (left click if you have your mouse setup to a left hand user), on the menu that appears click on the "Rename" option, alternatively you can press the F2 key on your keyboard.

Simply select all the files / folders you wish to delete, right click (left click if you have your mouse setup to a left hand user) over any of the selected items, from the menu that appears you will see a "Delete" option, click this and you will have a dialog box popup to confirm your decision, then wait whilst your files / folders are deleted.

WARNING: If you click on the delete option and confirm your decision, this will permanently delete all files and folders you selected, we are not responsible for any mistakes, you must always ensure you have a backup somewhere else if you decide to delete any files / folders.

Simply make an initial connection to an FTP / SFTP / SSH server, you will get a Trial countdown timer, click the "Register" button, a screen will be displayed where you can enter your license key (if your trial has already ended you will be presented with the license key screen straight away).

Notice: Ensure you are online (connected to the internet) in order to activate our app.
